This course is designed to engage students in critical thinking by considering the most fundamental questions of Western philosophy. This will enable students to understand the methodology and key areas of Western philosophy and will familiarize them with core areas including philosophical logic, metaphysics, epistemology, philosophy of mind, philosophy of religion, ethics, and aesthetics. The focus of this course will be on practicing philosophical method, by learning and applying the techniques of argument analysis to critically evaluate arguments of philosophers and develop own philosophical positions. |
