This course provides an introduction to international finance with the objective of instilling a basic understanding of international financial markets, including but not limited to currency risk in international investing and the management of exchange risk exposure. Traditional corporate finance functions such as investing decisions, financing decisions, and cost of capital are addressed in an international context. The first part of this course helps students developing an understanding of the workings of foreign exchange market. Part two of the course is devoted to the management of exchange risk exposure. Part three focuses on the analysis of financing decision in the international arena. The goal of this course is to provide students with a broad introduction to the practice of finance in multinational corporations. |
