The aim of this course is to get basic understanding for Japanese traditional architecture, modernization and contemporary architectural design. The course is focused on the study about the way of thinking and method for preservation or conservation of historic buildings, historical sites, cultural properties, the outline of historical or contemporary townscape and modern architecture designed in historical and cultural context in Japan and the countries where students are from. |
