The objective of the course is to introduce students to the basic issues involved with image recognition, and image analysis. This course will be mainly focused on linear discriminant functions, Bayes-theory, unsupervised learning, PCA and LDA based feature selections, image feature extraction and deep learning based image recognition, etc. In the last 7 weeks, students will be asked to read some selected papers and make a presentation in English. Some basic knowledge on image processing and computer graphics, good programming skills and mathematical background. Image stitching program coding will be done in Matlab. This course will be given in English only. |
