In this class, we are going to discuss about national information strategies. The nations covered are US, UK, South Korea, China, India, and Japan. Through the course, students will attain a basic understanding of major countries` national information strategies and also a comparative perspective when they analyze ICT-related policy issues. The course is taught primarily with in-class discussion; students are expected to come to class having read and ready to discuss the assigned readings for that week, as listed below. Each student will give a presentation on the materials and play a role as a discussion leader during the course. Class participation is an essential element of this class, because the success of this class to a very large degree depends on the quality of contributions you make. |
